Derived from my main role as a translator and editor for the artist’s writings as part of the artwork encompassing video installations and large-scale community murals, my responsibilities also included close collaborations with the studio’s videographer in subtitling, cultural consulting, and content-related research. My work required profound understandings of the artist’s artistic practice and ideology and close communications with the artist and his team; participation in fieldwork thus helped immensely.
